When she declares her intentions on her daily blog, her quest quickly skyrockets in popularity, and that's when Chris enters the picture, and he’s got all the assets. He's handsome, successful, and turns her inside out with a kiss to end all kisses, the kind that makes you feel like a shooting star. But loving again could mean losing again, and it's so much easier to focus on getting even, isn't it? Unless, you just can't help falling in love. Which means McKenna will have to come face to face with what she really wants in life -- protecting her heart from hurt, or letting go of her fears of a new beginning.

My Thoughts:

McKenna has been unceremoniously dumped by her fiance for a younger woman. A trophy wife. Disenchanted and on a quest for revenge, she sets out on a search for a trophy of her own. And so the hunt for her trophy husband begins.

Chris is sweet, charming, sexy as hell...but he doesn't fit into the mold of her trophy husband. Yet, he's the one she keeps fantasizing about. And the one she keeps coming back to.

Soon, McKenna realizes that maybe all she really wants is another shot at love and maybe someone to care about her.....well, okay, and maybe some hot sex as well. But by then, has she gone too far down the rabbit hole? Will she be able to back out of her search once she's gone viral with her search?


This was a fun story full of humor and sexiness, hope and love. It was a story telling that sometimes what you thought you need is really just a quest to remedy your hurt. That what you really need might make its way to you despite all else.

I loved the hopeful tone of this novel. My only minor complaint is that I wish we could have seen more of the development of McKenna and Chris's relationship. However, what we do see is amazing and wonderful.

The Final Verdict:

A fun and engaging read, Trophy Husband is a great way to spend your afternoon. You may get a little heated along the way, you’ll definitely laugh, and you’ll get a good dose of warm fuzzies as well. Lauren Blakely has created a story of hope and love that will put a smile on your face long after you turn the last page.
