*REVIEW* Owning Violet by Monica Murphy + PRINT #GIVEAWAY

Owning Violet (The Fowler Sisters #1)
by Monica Murphy
Publication Date: December 2nd, 2014
Genre: New Adult Contemporary Romance

New York Times bestselling author Monica Murphy begins a sexy new contemporary romance series—perfect for fans of Christina Lauren and Emma Chase—that introduces three sisters born to wealth, raised to succeed, ready to love, destined to make waves.

I’ve moved through life doing what’s expected of me. I’m the middle daughter, the dutiful daughter. The one who braved a vicious attack and survived. The one who devoted herself to her family’s business empire. The one who met an ambitious man and fell in love. We were going to run Fleur Cosmetics together, Zachary and I.

Until he got a promotion and left me in the dust. Maybe it’s for the best, between his disloyalty and his wandering eye. But another man was waiting for me. Wanting me. He too has an overwhelming thirst for success, just like Zachary—perhaps even more so. He’s also ruthless. And mysterious. I know nothing about Ryder McKay beyond that he makes me feel things I’ve never felt before.

One stolen moment, a kiss, a touch . . . and I’m hooked. Ryder’s like a powerful drug, and I’m an addict who doesn’t want to be cured. He tells me his intentions aren’t pure, and I believe him. For once, I don’t care. I’m willing to risk everything just to be with him. Including my heart. My soul.

My everything.

My Thoughts:

Monica Murphy has written a book that creates a maelstrom of emotions within you. Owning Violet is not an easy love story. It's a LUST-HATE-LUST-LOVE-HATE-LOVE story. At the eye of the storm is Ryder McKay and his plan to seduce Violet Fowler, the seemingly weak minded and willed daughter of his company's CEO.

At first glance and within the beginning pages, you might begin to wonder why you should become invested in these characters. Ryder is a gorgeous, but manipulative ass. Violet has made decisions in her life that caused her stick around with a cheating, using scumbag. But then...then Ryder and Violet begin to interact, and the chemistry between them is simply combustible.

Violet blossoms into herself, gaining the confidence in the quick-witted and strong woman that lurks behind the quiet persona determined to please everyone. And Ryder? Well, he's still an ass at times. But as you learn about him and his past and experience his growing relationship with Violet, you can't help lusting, and possibly, loving him as well.

Speaking of lust, I must caution you on how utterly SCORCHING the sex scenes are in this book. Monica Murphy truly upped her game in this one.

The Final Verdict:
Monica Murphy has created a complex, intensely erotic and addictive novel in Owning Violet and if this is any indication of how the rest of the Fowler Sisters series will play out, I'm caught: hook, line, and sinker. This scorching page turner is perfect to keep you warm on one of these cold winter nights...
