*Jump for Joy!* This Week’s New Releases

*Hosted by i*Heart*BigBooks*

Monday’s are hard enough, but fortunately, there is the prospect of new books to get us through the day! Tomorrow’s bringing us some book birthdays, so take a look, process your pre-orders, plan your trips to the store!

This first one actually released this past Saturday, so lucky us, it's available now! This book sounds intriguing and very unique. I can't wait to read it!

The Cirque
by Ryann Kerekes
Publication Date: March 2nd, 2013

Synopsis:
A good girl trying to find herself.
A troubled boy running from his past.
The seductive allure of the cirque.
One summer that will change them both forever …

Eighteen-year-old ballerina Ariel is determined to experience life outside the dance studio. She auditions for the cirque on a whim, and though ballet training didn’t prepare her for dodging knives, she refuses to flinch and wins the spot of target girl alongside Gabriel, the mysterious knife-thrower. There’s something unmistakably dangerous yet tempting about Gabriel’s crystal blue eyes and tattoos. She’s determined to solve the mystery of his past after learning he’s on the run from the law. Especially since the distraction is just what she needs to avoid admitting to her parents she was dismissed from her ballet contract.

The more she learns about Gabriel, the scars on his body, the foster homes he grew up in, and his fascination with knives, she knows she should run the other way, but that boy’s like crack, oh so bad for you, yet addicting as hell. When he’s arrested and forced to deal with his past, she has to choose between putting her own life back together and dealing with her parents, or taking a chance on Gabriel, as no one else has.

The Cirque is a contemporary new adult romance.

Wendy is one of my automatic buy authors. Though I've only read her only published book to date, Sweet Evil, her writing style just grabs at me and seems so effortless. I'll be watching my kindle like a hawk for this update.
Flirting with Maybe (a novella) by Wendy Higgins
Publication Date: March 5th, 2013

Synopsis:
He was fifteen and she was seventeen.

When sophomore Ryan "The Kid" McPhearson makes the Varsity baseball team, he finds himself submersed into the life of upperclassmen, and falling in love with senior Brooke Bennet. To Ryan she's his dream girl, perfect. Maybe to the outside world a two-year age difference doesn't matter, but this is high school. Everything matters.

Ryan soon realizes Brooke's life is not so perfect. He becomes her closest friend, her safe place to fall when she needs to escape. Ryan seems to be benched in the friend zone with no chance to bat.

Time is both a curse and a blessing. It ushers Brooke away to college, and Ryan into the arms of his first girlfriend. It alters Ryan from a kid to a high school graduate, ready to venture to college himself. But when Ryan sees Brooke again he realizes there are some things even time can't touch.

Though much has changed, one question still remains. Will the things that mattered in high school always stand between them?
