*Cover Reveal* Monica Murphy's Second Chance Boyfriend

It's Cover Reveal Time! And it's not just for one book, but two! The first is for Monica Murphy's Second Chance Boyfriend, her follow up to One Week Girlfriend, which also happens to be the second cover reveal! One Week Girlfriend has a new cover to complement the new book. So without further ado....here we go!

Second Chance Boyfriend (Drew + Fable #2)
by Monica Murphy
Release Date: April 2013
Cover Designed by: Sarah Hansen at Okay Creations
Cover Reveal Organized by: YA Bound Blog Tours
Summary from Goodreads:

Lost.

That one single word best describes my life at this very moment. I lost the last games of the season and both my team and my coach blame me. I lost the last two months because I drowned in my own despair like a complete loser. And I lost the only girl who ever mattered because I was afraid being with me would destroy her.
But now I realize how truly lost I am without her. She has become my story…and even though she acts like she’s moved on, I know she still thinks about me just as much as I think about her. She’s beautiful, sweet—and so damn vulnerable, all I want to do is help her. Be there for her.

Love her…

If only I could convince Fable to give me a second chance. Then I wouldn’t feel so lost anymore, and neither would she. We could be found together.

Forever.

New Adult Contemporary Romance
**Mature situations and sexual content - recommended for ages 17+**

Temporary. That one single word best describes my life these last few years. I’m working at a temporary job until I can finally break free. I’m my little brother’s temporary mother since our mom doesn’t give a crap about either of us. And I’m that temporary girl all the guys want to get with because I give it up so easily. According to the rumors, at least.

But now I’m the temporary girlfriend of Drew Callahan, college football legend and all around golden guy. He’s beautiful, sweet—and he’s hiding way more secrets than I am. He’s brought me into this fake life where everyone seems to hate me. And everyone seems to want something from him. The only thing he seems

Forever.

*Cover Reveal* J. Lynn's (aka Jennifer L. Armentrout) Wait For You

Guys, guys....So, this was my planned Waiting on Wednesday post, but the fab Jennifer L. Armentrout/J. Lynn and the book gods threw me for a loop! But, hell yes, I'm super excited!

*This meme is brought to you by Breaking the Spine*

*Insert record scratch sound effect*

ARE YOU READY FOR THIS GORGEOUSNESS? Probably not, but here it is!

DUDE.

Wait For You
by J. Lynn
Publication Date: February 27th, 2013

Synopsis:
Some things are worth waiting for…
Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.

Some things are worth experiencing…
Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.

Some things should never be kept quiet…
But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she’s has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?

And some things are worth fighting for…

Reviews have been fantastic so far and people are saying that Cam is now favorite over Aiden (Covenant Series) and Daemon (Lux Series). This is, just....inconceivable to me! Methinks this must be a damn good book!

Here's what people have been saying:
“J. Lynn creates a wonderful cast of characters that will make you laugh, swoon, and cry. Cam stole my heart.” – Cora Carmack, NYTimes and USA TODAY Bestselling Author of LOSING IT

“For the love of all that is Cameron without a shirt on! Wait for You will have you laughing out loud, fanning yourself and anxiously waiting to know what will happen next.” – Molly McAdams, NYTimes and USA TODAY Bestselling Author of FROM ASHES and TAKING CHANCES

“I don't think I have ever read a NA Contemporary novel with as much depth as this one. It really moved me and by the end I was just speechless over how inspirational and uplifting it was as well as being sexy and cute and funny and emotional.” - K Books

“Wait For You is uniquely different from anything else J. Lynn's written but it might possibly be her best work yet.” – Jenuine Cupcakes

“For all of you in love with Aiden and Daemon, PREPARE YOURSELVES! Your heart will have to expand a little more for Cam.” Total Bookaholic

“For the love of all things CAM, this book deserves more than 5 stars.” – Mundie Moms

“I cannot even begin to explain how much I adored this perfectly crafted contemporary.” – Shortie Says

About the Author:
J. Lynn, also known as Jennifer L. Armentrout, is the USA TODAY Bestselling author of the adult romance Gamble Brothers’ series, the young adult Lux Series and award winning Covenant Series. She pretty much writes everything—contemporary, paranormal, and fantasy. All of her books have one thing in common no matter the name or genre: kissing… and stuff. We interrupt the scheduled programing for...the flu

Dear readers,
I know that I said this blog would be slow to build, but I didn't anticipate this! I've been down with the flu for about two weeks. And when I say down, I say fully incapacitated. My husband joked that I might as well turn into a zombie.

My humor has also been down during this time. Let's just say, I didn't react well to this line of joking.

In this time, I have not written any blog posts, I have not read any books, I have not been able to leave my bed. I did not go to work, I did not study for my exams.

just...just...

ANYWHO, I just wanted to drop by to leave a note. I WILL be back! In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy your President's Day weekend!

The Indigo Spell (Book 3, of the spectacular Bloodlines series)
by Richelle Mead
Publication Date: February 12th, 2013

"I’m telling you, if you want to get a guy to do something that might be difficult, then the best way is to distract him so that he can’t devote his full brainpower to the consequences.”

“You don’t have a lot of faith in your own gender.”

“Hey, I’m telling you the truth. I’ve been distracted by sexy dresses a lot.”

I didn’t really know if that was a valid argument, seeing as Adrian was distracted by a lot of things. Fondue. T-shirts. Kittens. “And so, what then? I show some skin, and the world is mine?”

“That’ll help.” Amazingly, I could tell he was dead serious.

You like that? I like that.....

I actually received my copy and finished The Indigo Spell at 1am this morning! I had been suffering the flu all day and the book won out over my drowsiness. It was just. THAT. good.

Jordyn (A Daemon Hunter Novel #1)
by Tiffany King
Publication Date: February 10th, 2013 (Available as of yesterday!)

Synopsis:
Hand to hand combat training: Check
Cardio and strength training: Check
Daemon hunting: Check
Anomaly: Check

Check, check, check, check...That's all my life is. There's nothing ordinary about me. I'm "special." I know this because I'm reminded of it every stinking day. I can kick a Daemon's ass with both hands tied behind my back. I can run up a mountain without breaking a sweat. Know what I can't do? Get guys to notice me, or hang out with friends like normal people do. I can't just be ordinary because I have an Arch Angel for a mentor who is always breathing down my neck, and a family of angelic Guides and Protectors who scrutinize every little thing I do. Just for a day I want a life where I'm no longer some anomaly, where I don't have to feel like a lab rat.

And then I met Emrys. Okay, so my mentor and family hate him, but probably for good reason. After-all, he is a Soul Trader, and they aren't the most trust worthy beings. But, he is sooo hot with his green eyes, leather jacket and the sexiest tattoo you've ever seen running down his back. And-he doesn't treat me like a project.

I've got myself in quite a little quandary here. Choosing between my responsibilities and the Trader that holds my heart is something I didn't sign up for. Torn between two different worlds, I must now decide who to trust and who to walk away from. What's a girl to do? See what I mean? I am an anomaly. I am Jordyn.

Raise your hands if you loved Losing It? (aka one of THE. BEST. examples of the New Adult genre...EVER) I'm guessing there would be a lot of hands raised. *Waiting on Wednesday* Jennifer L. Armentrout's Apollyon

*This meme is brought to you by Breaking the Spine*

I may have mentioned before that patience is not my strong suit. I am very much one to enjoy immediate gratification, HOWEVER some things are worth the wait (she says reluctantly...).

Here's one of my most highly anticipated books of the first half of the year:

Apollyon
by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Publication Date: April 9th, 2013

Synopsis:
Fate isn’t something to mess with… and now, neither is Alex.

Alex has always feared two things: losing herself in the Awakening and being placed on the Elixir. But love has always been stronger than Fate, and Aiden St. Delphi is willing to make war on the gods—and Alex herself—to bring her back.

The gods have killed thousands and could destroy entire cities in their quest to stop Seth from taking Alex’s power and becoming the all-powerful God Killer. But breaking Alex’s connection to Seth isn’t the only problem. There are a few pesky little loopholes in the whole “an Apollyon can’t be killed” theory, and the only person who might know how to stop the destruction has been dead for centuries.

Finding their way past the barriers that guard the Underworld, searching for one soul among countless millions, and then somehow returning will be hard enough. Alex might be able to keep Seth from becoming the God Killer… or she might become the God Killer herself.

The Covenant Series is one of my ALL TIME favorites. I cannot possibly read these books fast enough when they come out. Fortunately for me, Jen is absolutely the Queen of Teasers. What can I say? She churns out several books a year, actively shares with her fans, and creates smoking hot characters in each and every one of her books? AWESOME SAUCE, no?

Here’s just a sampling! Be sure to check her out on Twitter, Facebook, and her blog for more!

My feet touched the ground and I took a step forward—one, and then another. And Aiden didn’t move. He waited. It was in those eyes of his, the finality of this. He wouldn’t win, he couldn’t and he knew it. Aiden accepted it.
As I reached him, the rain stopped and the clouds parted. The sun followed my footsteps.
“Alex.” Aiden’s voice was broken.
Like a cobra striking, I took Aiden’s legs out from under him and he was on his back before another breath could be taken. Straddling him, I placed my hands on his shoulders. The marks of the Apollyon glowed a vibrant blue and raced over my skin.
I leaned in, placing my lips above his and the words that came out of my mouth were mine… but weren’t. “All moments end, Saint Delphi. And now yours has.” I pressed my lips to the corner of his and he flinched. “You are weak because you love.”
Aiden stared up at me, unblinking. “To love is not weak. Love is the strongest thing there is.”
My lips curved into a smile. Idiot.

Twishort

His all-white eyes gleamed. “I’ve seen it all in battle. There is the way the body curls into itself when it wants death. There is the silent scream for release. There are the eyes, and they speak even when the tongue no longer works. And then there is the soul that rots so poorly when death is wanted but withheld that it carries a certain stench.”
Ice shot through my veins, turning my blood to slush. At that moment I knew no matter how much I fought, this… this was going to suck.
Source:
Twishort

"Sounds like a smart idea." Dark humor laced Aiden's voice. "You might want to get your gun off my brother's face while you're at it."
Source:
Twishort

and another....

Absolute power—unforgiving and hard, pure as it was deadly— coursed over my skin. I reared back, summoning the fifth and final element. Intense blue light erupted from my palm.
Akasha ripped from me, arcing through the air like cloud-to-cloud lightning, homing in on its target and striking true. The sky crackled and heated. One second, the automaton was on his knee, and the next he was nothing but a pile of shimmery dust.
“Good gods,” came Olivia’s hoarse whisper.
Another automaton took the fallen one’s place, swinging out with a metal hand that clinked and clicked. Fire sparked from its open mouth. I spun, catching the broad side of his arm and twisting. The hoarse shout of pain was lost in the clash of metal, the thunder of bullets finding another automaton.
It raised its bull face and snapped at me with massive jaws. “Please.” I placed my hand on the massive forehead.
Blue light coursed over the head and down the body, lightening up
the metallic skull and bone structure. For a moment, it was like a pretty x-ray or a jellyfish—a really disturbing jellyfish—and then cobalt light radiated from its eyes and open mouth. It imploded—caved in on itself, turning to nothing but dust.
And then the crap really hit the fan.
The automatons—every last one of the freaky bull things—turned on me. They moved quickly, metal legs rattling and clinking. Fire spewed from their mouths like the poor man’s version of a dragon. They came from all directions, Apollyon-seeking missiles with “Kill Alex” stamped all over them.
Fire came from them, blinding and intense. Nothing existed outside the flames. No sound. No sight. My world was red and orange...
And my world was tinted in amber.
Alex? His voice came through the thrumming connection.
I ignored him and the way his consciousness slid in alongside mine.
What are you up to?

“One down,” I said, turning around. “Who’s ne—?”
Thanatos tossed Marcus to the ground, deflected Solos’ attack, and turned on me in a nanosecond. It was pretty epic.
A bolt of white light flew from Thanatos’ hand and there wasn’t a single thing in this world that could move fast enough. Not even Seth, I was betting.
It hit me just below the chest and my legs collapsed from underneath me. Red-hot, searing pain sliced through my skin and my face smacked off the ground. I didn’t even feel it. There was nothing but the razing pain locking up my muscles.
God bolts sucked.
Aiden yelled my name, and then I thought I heard my name called again, but it was inside my head, loud, and so very angry… and it sounded like Seth.
Without any warning, the ground trembled under my twitching body. A flash of golden light cascaded through the clearing. Warmth stole over my body. Weakly, I lifted my head.
Two leather-clad legs stood before me.
“That is enough, Thanatos.” Apollo’s voice was calm, but it was that creepy, deadly calm I never wanted to be on the receiving end of.
“N-n-nice of y-you to s-show up,” I gasped.
“Shut up, Alex.” Apollo strode forward. A ray of light followed his steps.

*Teaser Tuesday* Cora Carmack's Losing It

*This meme is brought to you by MizB at Should Be Reading*

Let me tell you, I like nothing better than a good teaser! It's the intrigue, the butterflies, the quickening breath of excitement. It's the, "I MUST DROP EVERYTHING AND GET MY HANDS ON THIS BOOK" feeling that I love. So, let me share....enjoy...and hope you find something that piques your interest.

Here's how to play:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

“Sorry. Got carried away.”

Those were exactly the right words. Carried away. I had never been so caught up in another person before. I’d never been so… out of control. It at once excited and terrified me.

His face appeared before mine, and I tried to keep my expression neutral. His hand slid out of my shirt, and I shivered, my skin mourning the loss.

I laughed, but inside I was giving the middle finger to reason. It had ruled me long enough.

You like that? I like that.....

I love love love this book to pieces. I read this a while ago, but with Cora’s latest update regarding Cade’s story (Book 2), I just HAD to revisit! If you haven’t read this yet, please do! It’s one of the best examples of the New Adult genre to date. And guess what? It's coming out in paperback on February 26th!

And while you’re here, check out this teaser from Cade’s book, Faking It.

Two thoughts crossed my mind—one involved a lot of yelling.

I chose the other, and used the hand I was holding to tug her forward into my arms. Her chest pressed into mine, and her lips were millimeters from my own. She exhaled sharply, and I could taste the sweetness of her breath on the air. I saw in her eyes the moment she knew she was wrong, but I wasn’t done proving it to her.

I crushed my mouth to hers.

She gasped, and I slipped my tongue into her mouth. She stayed there for a few seconds, her hands still at her sides, then I felt the tentative touch of her hand against my side, and that was all the permission I needed to continue. I threaded a hand through her hair and wrapped the other around her waist. I walked her backward until her back hit the wall. Her other hand came to my waist, and her fingers pressed deeper into my skin. Her lips were soft and full underneath mine, and I eased up enough to taste them. I tried to kiss her softly. I did, but there was something about her that made me desperate, and I kissed her harder.

Be sure to follow Cora on Facebook if you want more teasers! She’ll be posting another upon hitting 1,500 Likes! GOGO! to Facebook!

Intrigued yet? Will you be reading or have you already read Losing It?

all the best, dear readers!
